If you don't have a picture of our family, look up "Chaos" in the dictionary...
Mood:  not sure
Now Playing: An actual record from the 60s! (the Beatles)
The second kid in our family turned twenty today and my parents also celebrated their 25th year of marriage. A few days ago I got a bad cold and right now I can't laugh or talk, really, without coughing hard enough to bruise my ribs. I don't mind too much-- it means I get to sleep more... Wahoo! I have been watching the Olympics the past few nights, which serves as a constant reminder that I have absolutely no athletic ability whatsoever! On the upside, I don't have to practice as much as they do, or get hurt as much as they do! haha! Anyways, I have nothing better to write so I am gonna get myself outa here! have a good night! ~Hannie

I believe in you, Peter Pan
Mood:  silly
Topic: movies
Growing up is a tedious thing. Not necessarily because you have to act mature... goodness knows there are plenty of adults who still act like two year olds... so what is it? Having to go to college? Get a job? Possibly get married and have children(I'm a fan)? I think that the most scary thing about it is the idea of growing up-- the actual process is easy enough. Now, at one point or another, we have all seen at least one muppet movie and, whether or not we admitted it, we enjoyed it. I think part of growing up is being mature enough to be silly. It sounds rather contradictory, but really, it's true. So last night, my good friends Catherine and Theresa and I watched the 2003 movie "Peter Pan". We all expected a crazy-cheesy, ridiculous movie with a bad script, terrible special effects, awful acting, etc. I have to admit that we all were pleasantly surprised by a lovely movie. Granted, the special effects were definitely cheesy, but the kids were adorable and overall it was just a lot of fun. My piece of advice for today would be this-- Grow up and watch children movies. : )

Did you know that butterflies taste with their feet?
Mood:  chillin'
So my mum and I went shopping yesterday for a bookshelf for all the books that I don't have... yet! It was a real trip opening up the box and assembling all the pieces together. What probably could take another person a half hour took me two hours. It gave me time to listen to some good music, though, and now I have a new place to put junk that I should put away, but come on-- what a convenient place!! It's the same with my bedroom floor-- I'd say that the amount of clothes I put away is equal to the amount that are on the floor. No, I'm just joking. I'm getting better. A good motivation for that is the possibility that I might be moving on campus and rooming with a really good friend this spring. We'll see-- like most of my life, it's up in the air! :) I found a lot of beautiful art online today which always makes me excited... mostly because I'm a dork, but anyways... It's time to get going!

"Who does that?!..."
Mood:  special
So it's my birthday... I can now say "I'm seventeen" and not be thinking "... in ____ days". You see, after a certain amount of time, I get so close to my birthday that I do say I'm the age I'm about to be. Is that lying? Most the time I feel like I'm a little kid again-- you remember those days, where the difference between "six" and "six and a half" was so vast that you *had* to say it. Not to worry, though, I'm not gonna say "I'm eighteen" until at least a month after today... j/k. My mum and I have been watching a few extra kids all yesterday and this morning which has been especially interesting. Due to the fact that kids need nutritious, healthy food, my mum decided that we should order pizza and pop for dinner... or maybe it was because it would be easier... who knows-- it may always be a mystery. She was asking one of the kids if they were allowed to drink caffein and the kid said "Does Coke have alcohol?" My mum was sure that he meant caffein, so she asked the question again. The boy persisted, however, and continued-- "Because alcohol makes you drunk, and I don't want you to get me drunk, Mrs. Hahn." Now, my mum is not accustomed to having little kids tell her this (usually they readily comply! ;) hehe Anyways. Interesting things like that have happened all last night and today. And I am off to mass-- later!!

Almost Legal
Mood:  accident prone
There are moments in every person's life where you stop and think about... well... your life, actually. Last week, a very good friend and I drove up to New Jersey (actually, I was the only driver, but anyways). It was lots of fun listening to various musical artists and differents genres of music. Like all road trips involving female drivers, there was a good deal of getting lost. Now, before driving to New Jersey, I always thought that Pergatory was the place inbetween Heaven and Hell... but I realized last week that it actually is the Pennsylvania Turnpike. A clever name-- I was fooled at first, but after a few minutes I discovered the truth. Instead of fixing areas in the road that need it, tar and/or blacktop is applied (whether or not it is a pothole doesn't matter). So as you drive on the highway, it feels more like you're going over speedbumps every few feet. On most highways you might see pieces of tires every mile or so, but on the Turnpike, it's more common to see entire tires, bumpers, headlights, steering wheels... ok, maybe I'm exaggerating, but you get the idea. What Atlanta is to airports, the PA turnpike is to highways! In other news... I turn seventeen tomorrow and a friend of mine turns eighteen today. I'm now just 366 days away from being a legal ... if that doesn't scare you, than nothing will! I start college in just a few weeks-- I hear there's talk of my experiences being turned into a comedy. So if you want to see me every monday night at 8 pm on NBC.......... write a letter. Until then!

Yay for P.J !

Did you watch the Golden Globes on Sunday? If you didn't, then congratulations-- you have a life! I watched for over two hours while people I'll never meet got up, accepted gold figurines, and gave a speech in which they thanked every human they had ever met... it's amazing what levels of laziness humans are capable of! ;) On the upside, the Return of the King won tons of awards and that made me very happy! Why? There are many reasons, but the biggest one, as well as most logical, is that I'm a nerd! haha And now I must go!

Laughing upside down...
You know those days that you climb into your car and switch the radio channels until the perfect death-metal band comes on-- screaming about how life is so unfair? Today wasn't one of those days. It was the type of day that you turn on the radio and your favorite song has just begin to play and the signal is loud and clear! And then you remember that Outkast's new song is *not* your favorite song and the clouds begin hover... j/k I am in a really silly mood this evening so pardon the randomness that you'll find in my entry! But ya know what, it's my blog! Mwahahaha! Yikes...
I had lunch with some good friends today and got to hang out with a cool person! Yes, I know what you're thinking-- first, there are cool people on this planet!? Second, how did Hannah manage to get to hang out with one!? Well, my friends, I am afraid that that's one of life's little mysteries...
I had a phone conversation this evening that made me laugh harder than I've laughed in a long time, and it also made me write a huge-run on sentence! SHOCKING! I better end this before I start talking about the incident with the koala bear I found in the closet from Indonesia....

My theory on why are dogs "man's best friend?"....

No, I don't really have a theory worked out on why dogs are man's best friend, but I've started the whole "thinking process" and sooner or later, something's bound to come out! Like most girls, I have my personal thoughts on the subject, but the male species does not deserve all of them... or, as my younger brother would say, "yet!" haha
They say you learn something new every day... only recently have I discovered how true that is! The only problem is that it all is pointless, but hey-- at least you now know that your life will not be complete until you have the latest Toyota! C'mon, with .?? APR, who can resist!? We can get a loan from the banks you see on TV... they always have that really awesome, cheesy music in the background... it's probably meant to distract you from the small print on the bottom of the screen that reads "The amount of interest we'll tag onto your loan will make you mortgage your soul!" Yikes...
Ok, so my excuse for not studying and doing my homework just ran out! I have to go upstairs and face the music! (hey, music! a new excuse! ;) j/k

Thinking is overrated...
Last night I felt an energy rush hit me at midnight... I used it to take notes and work on the group project that is due for my PBIL class this monday. Group projects are not my favorite thing. I like to do things and make connections on my own, so I suppose this is a great experience-- figuring out how to be humble and open enough to learn from others! And for the record, I do NOT think I know everything. No, not at all, but I hate hearing others who don't know much trying to find their way around. I have a small amount of patience, I guess. It cracks me up at times because it's like three blind people trying to explain color to each other... they'd be better off trying to figure it out on their own. Anyways, the project is almost due and class was productive and kinda fun, so there ya go. I have psychology in an hour or so and it's on Hypnosis and Freud... what if the professor came in and decided to talk about Freud being hypnotized? A great way to integrate subjects! This doesn't work in everything, though-- like trying to integrate rugby with english. The players quote Edgar Allen Poe as they tackle the professor... hmmm....
Peace out! ~H2

Steubenville drivers.... need I say more?
Driving to the grocery store-- it sounds like it would be an easy task, doesn't it? Not so in Steubenville! It's actually really funny when you think about it-- the same people that would just as soon as stab you instead of having a conversation with you, become jolly little folk as soon as they step into their car! The only problem is that these jolly little folk have friends on every block and, instead of pulling to the side of the road like the rest of the human race, decide to stop in the middle of the road and converse. Now, I am *very* happy that the jolly little folk have friends, but it just seems to me as though the phone tends to not hold up traffic. Another funny thing is that if you are so unintelligent as to honk at these people, they return to their normal, pleasant, psychotic nature! So you must wait and hope that by turning up the new, and even more profoundly annoying song by Justin Timberlake song, you can stay sane for a few more moments. Sooner or later, however, your patience does wear thin and against all sane, logical reason, you *do* honk! And after the normal, pleasant, psychotic person tells you where you can go for all eternity, you have learned an invaluable lesson in Steubenville driving!....

When your professor asks you why you missed class, "I died" isn't a good response...
Hello again, to anybody who has found their way to my little blog. I had my English and Psychology classes today and they were both a lot of fun! In our English class, we were divided up into groups of three people and doing a project that I could explain but I don't feel like typing it out! I had lunch with my wonderful friend Catherine and it was a lot of fun. Psychology was all about hypnosis today-- we actually went through the relaxation phase.... or, rather, we were supposed to, but a good bit of the class, myself included, found it difficult to keep a straight face. I love asking questions in class, but to quote someone who I don't know, "There are no stupid questions-- just a lot of inquisitive idiots..." Yup, that's me! =) Sometimes I think it would be more time-efficient if I just asked an inane question right away. haha Anyways, I am off to practice guitar and do homework... Peace out ~H2

My Blog Entry Without a Title!
Hello! This is my first try at making a blog... it's pretty easy to tell! haha It's not like I didn't have other things to do, but I suffer from chronic laziness and so here I am. It is Alfredo's 24th birthday today and nobody in our family knows what to do! So we decided to buy a giant cake and have Gabe jump out of it-- clothed in his Rugby outfit... cause, c'mon, whether or not we admit it, all of us want to have that happen on our 24th birthday! I think that a new type of alarm-clock should be created for people like me... people whose hands were made for the sole purpose of hitting the "snooze" button. I have it pretty much figured out-- it goes off, and when you try to turn it off, it gives you an electric shock. It's brilliant if you think about it, and it's even MORE brilliant if you DON'T think about it! So... what do you think? Should I call the Patent office before someone else steals my idea?....

It's always darkest before dawn. So if you're going to steal the neighbor's newspaper, that's the time to do it.
A few short funny quotes I stumbled upon...

Into every life some rain must fall. Usually when your car windows are down
It's a small world. So you gotta use your elbows a lot.
This land is your land. This land is my land. So stay on your land.
When I'm feeling down, I like to whistle. It makes the neighbor's dog run to the end of his chain and gag himself.
I believe for every drop of rain that falls, a flower grows. (And a foundation leaks and a ball game gets rained out and a car rusts and...)
Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, "Where the heck is the ceiling?!"
I loathe people who keep dogs. They are cowards who haven't got the guts to bite people themselves.
We having nothing to fear but fear itself. That, and maybe getting mugged by someone wearing a "No Fear" T-shirt!
